Beehive mouse guard entrance reducer with the unique sliding design makes the entrance reducer universal. Fits 8 frame, 10 frame beehive, flow hives, layers, and Warre hives with the common 3/4-inch entrance opening.
One entrance reducer is enough to reduce the entrance of a beehive and still provide ventilation. Or it acts as a mouse guard and can be left on during winter, spring, fall, and summer and protects against robbing from bees, wasps, and hornets.
Stainless steel provides protection from corrosion or rust, ensuring your entrance reducers last year after year; will not rot or break like wooden entrance reducers.
3/8 inch holes across the reducer are large enough to let bees through without damage or losing pollen. But small enough to guard against a mouse from entering the hive.
Beehive mouse guard entrance can be attached to the bottom board with a basic small nail. It can also be used to close off the entrance by easily covering the holes with tape for moving hives and works best on bottom boards with a 3/4-inch rail which is industry standard.
